George Malva Painting - Village
Malva George Kabriel Severios Born in Syria in 1951, George Kabriel Severios. Malva studied there at the University of Fine Arts and finished his studies in 1972. Malva then went to Damascus and was teaching at the University of Fine Arts for two years. He then became the art-director of the magazine Al Fursan in Syria for two years. Later he returned to Beirut in order to teach at the University there. He did about twenty exhibitions in Syria and three in Beirut, and together with his friend, he had several exhibitions in Moscow, Budapest, Sofia, and Rome. The Association of Fine Arts in Syria has published a book about his art. About ten journals have been written about Malva and his art, including Alsyad, Almassas, and Alshark in Beirut and Albaeth; Alfursan and Altalaa in Syria; Alraie in Jordan; and Al Anbas in Israel. Malva is a truly great artist, and the demand for, and popularity of Malva’s paintings is recognized worldwide.
